COTONE CREPE
Dry is a modern concept high twisted and high performing yarn. Its freshness combined with its elasticity make it suitable for use in production of knitwear and fabrics fresh to the touch of high quality and durability. The cotton fiber long staple* and spinning technique compact guarantee the perfect structure of the yarn, the total absence of the pilling and help to maintain the integrity of the knitting stitch. The yarn is dyed with the most modern dyeing techniques, that preserve the environment as certified by oekotex standard 100. We chose this yarn not only for its appearance but for its quality, stability and resistance to washing and use, which allows to maintain the quality of the garment with a simple and fast maintenance.
*long staple cotton is exceptionally fine and strong, so it is used in the warp of many fabrics for dimentional stability and durability. It’s also used in very high and fashion products. It accounts for less that 5% of world acreage, but commands a price that is usually double that of the upland cottons.
GIZA
The raw material we use for the production of giza 45 comes exclusively from the very high yields of egyptian giza 45 cotton. The precious raw material, also known as the queen of egyptian cotton, is hand-picked and then worked with special yarns. Cotton fibers, extraordinarily long and silky, are distinguished by its high strength, for their brilliance comparable to silk, giving the finished product extraordinary softness to the touch. All of these properties allow the production of very fine yarns to produce high quality garments combining aesthetic pleasure with solidity endurance.
COTONE PETTINATO
Combing or parallelizing is a working phase in the spinning cycle. It consists or arranging the textile fibers after they are carded. Two main achievements are achieved through combing: the length of the fibers is selected, with the elimination of the shorter ones and the orientation of the fibers in one direction, in the direction of the tape length, the one in which the wire will be constructed. Applying combing you get a yarn, called combed, which improves the qualities of the yarn finishing, suitable for the realization of fine pieces called themselfs combed, of dry and smooth hand.
VINTAGE-EXTRAFINE MERINO
To achieve the effect of aging the garments without affecting the quality of the yarn it has been developed a method of dyeing "vintage" unique, made in Italy and patented all over the world pursuing the philosophy of the brand "absolutely made in Italy". This dyeing process uses only substances that do not leave neither on the fabric nor in the water hazardous substances for man or the environment. The chiaroscuro effects are the result of a careful research in style, they are important characteristics of the image of the garment and not defects. The color fastness due to its characteristics can not always be homogeneous and, being an almost artisanal method, tone of colors may vary from piece to piece.
LINO
A particularly refined yarn constructed with an extremely thin linen blend with a unique siliconed nylon filament. This very particular construction has make possible to maintain all the natural qualities of the linen and, at the same time, give a modern appearance to what is the most ancient yarn used by the humanity. Therefore the models realized with this yarn will always be particularly light, fresh and bright. It’s excellent to be wear directly on your skin or with just a light t-shirt.
LINO SUPERIOR
The yarn we have selected for the development of this package is unique and precious. The blend of fibers we have used, composed of linen and organic cotton, is extremely comfortable on the skin. Cotton and linen combine perfectly to create a yarn that enhances the characteristics of both raw materials: the rough, raw and brilliant appearance of linen and the softness, breathability and resistance of cotton. The garments made by this yarn are fresh, light and timeless.
SETA
"Mulberry silk" is the highest quality, most expensive silk you can purchase; odorless and hypoallergenic it’s made from silkworms that are raised in captivity under exacting conditions. The process was developed by chinese thousands of years ago and it was perfected, making them the world experts in producing the finest silk. Mulberry silk is made from the silkworms of the bombyx mori moth. One filament of silk made from these silkworms can be up to 1.600 yards long and it’s stronger than a filament of steel of the same diameter. The mulberry silk thread is also rounder, finer, smoother, and a lighter more uniform color than silk harvested from the wild.
SEA ISLAND COTTON
West Indian Island Cotton belongs to the species called Gossypium Barbadense, the same that gives rise to all the extra-long staple cotton grown in the world. However, it is not only the species that determines the quality of a cotton, but also the seed, the soil, the cultivation methods and the climatic conditions. Thanks to the happy combination of these factors on the island of Barbados, Sea Island Cotton is excellent under all parameters: fiber length, maturity, fineness and strength. Richard Dwight Porcher, biologist and author of the book sea island cotton, has no doubts in stating that "in all respects, it is the best quality cotton ever grown in the world, anywhere and at any time". Its production is concentrated today mainly in Barbados and Jamaica, areas that constitute a veritable climatic paradise. Around 110 million bales of cotton are produced each year worldwide, of which 2 million are extra-long staple cotton. Sea island cotton’s annual production is around 150 bales, making it one of the rarest and most prized cottons in the world.
FILO DI SCOZIA
"Filo di scozia" cotton is a very high quality yarn, produced exclusively with long-lime noble varieties, resistant and naturally shiny. Combined with combing, twisting, plating and merceraizing, it enhances its natural brilliance and strength, acquires irresistible and better absorption rate. The garment are comfortable on the skin, durable, silky, low pilling. The garments have a precious look with vivid and shiny tones.
